Dismissing, retrenching and retiring staff
At times you may need to dismiss or retrench staff. If this is not managed well, you may find yourself with a complaint of discrimination or harassment or an unfair dismissal claim.
Workplace and equal opportunity laws give all your staff certain protections when their employment ends. There are rules about their entitlements and laws against unfair dismissal.
