Disability Employment - Good practice examples

What has already been achieved in the area of disability employment that I can learn from?

Many government and non-government agencies have developed examples, models and strategies for disability employment. Organisations may like to consider, amend and implement some of the good practice examples that are listed below.

As One - APS Employment Disability Strategy - Australian Public Service Commission report (2012) drafted in response to the National Disability Strategy launched in 2011.

DCSI Disability Employment Strategy 2014 - 2016 - Department of Communities and Social Inclusion is an exemplar employer with approximately 5% of its workforce with a declared disability.

WA Public Sector Commission - Incorporates the WA public sector Disability Employment Strategy 2013 - 2015 and a Disability Employment Toolkit.

Disability Services Commission (WA government) - Includes a toolkit, responsibilities, support and highlights benefits of employing a person with disability.

Adelaide City Council / Access2Arts - have partnered to create some videos related to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities about disability and employment.
