Managers and colleagues working with a person with disability may lack knowledge about including a person with disability into the workplace. Workplace adjustments may be required and information on disability disclosure can be daunting.
The following information can help you manage workplace modifications and adjustments:
Workplace Adjustment Tool (JobAccess) - Ideas on how to make a workplace more accessible for people with disability. You can search for ideas based on the type of job being undertaken, a particular disability, a type of product or a particular supplier. When you find the product or solution you need, you can view contact details for suppliers in your area.
Disability Access and Inclusion Plan toolkit - A practical resource developed by the Department for Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) to assist in drafting a Disability Access and Inclusion Plan.
Workplace Modification Guideline (DCSI) - Outlines the steps involved in identifying the need and applying for workplace modifications for work-injured employees and employees with disability.
