SAPOL Restorative Engagement Program - How to Apply

How to apply

If you have experienced sex discrimination, sexual harassment or predatory behaviour while working with SAPOL, contact the Restorative Engagement team on 08 8226 0350 to discuss your matter.

Our team will send through a Personal Account Form that you’ll need to complete and send back to us.

At present, the REP will continue until at least September 2017, and we’re encouraging people to submit their complaints in a timely manner so we can consider them.

Once we have received your Personal Account Form, we will assess your complaint against 3 main criteria:

• Whether you are a current or former, paid or unpaid SAPOL staff member whose complaint relates to incidents occurring between 1 December 2006 and 31 December 2016

• Whether the incidents you refer to meet the definition of sex discrimination, sexual harassment or predatory behaviour

• Whether the complaint is plausible

If your complaint is accepted, a facilitator will be in touch to discuss the next steps.

If your complaint isn’t accepted, you’ll be advised of this in writing – along with information on the appeals process should you wish to appeal against this decision.

If at any time you have a query about the status of your application, feel free to contact the REP on 08 8226 0350 or

RestorativeEngagement@sa.gov.au

We’ll endeavour to respond to your enquiries promptly.
