GOVChat - Transforming Criminal Justice

GOVChat – a link straight to the decision makers, senior executives of the Attorney-General’s Department, Correctional Services, Youth Justice and SA Police, as well as the Attorney-General, Minister for Correctional Services and Minister for Communities and Social Inclusion.

As part of the Government’s Transforming Criminal Justice reform program, the Attorney-General’s Department is hosting a GOVChat event seeking community feedback on the criminal justice system, initiatives and issues to better inform future Government policies.

You’re invited to call the GOVChat telephone service at 1800 216 506 on Tuesday 23 June between 6pm and 8pm and speak to key decision makers within the Government about:

  • Sentencing and alternatives to prison
  • Your experience as a victim of crime or witness
  • Policing in South Australia
  • The correctional system and offender rehabilitation
  • Youth justice
  • Your suggestions for improvement to the criminal justice system

How to get involved:

The GOVChat telephone line will operate on Tuesday 23 June between 6pm and 8pm.

If you are unable to contact the GOVChat line, you are welcome to submit your feedback online at yoursay.sa.gov.au between 4pm – midnight.
