Training Programs - September to November 2020
About the training and the people
The EOC is committed to keeping training courses current, high quality, informative…and enjoyable! The workshops are interactive and vibrant, creating the perfect environment to learn not only from experienced trainers but from other people from a diverse range of workplaces.
EOC and External Trainers Working Together
We understand that every organisation/workplace is different, so to support you to achieve your outcomes, the EOC has partnered with South Australian training providers to expand and complement existing training courses. Together we have the capacity and the extensive experience to support you to implement initiatives, training or workshops on site at your workplace.
Training courses on offer at the EOC
Important – COVID-19 and changes to the format of our courses –
Due to COVID-19 social distancing requirements the EOC’s training courses will be provided as 2 separate workshops (the exception being the Contact Person Refresher training workshop on Wednesday, November 11, 2020).
The 1st workshop will be online and will cover the essential knowledge required to understand the relevant laws, workplace role and responsibilities and the application of this essential knowledge in the workplace.
The 2nd workshop will focus on practising the skills required so participants can effectively apply them in the workplace.
Online workshop participants will be sent a link to a ‘Zoom’ meeting 2 days prior to the date of the workshop. Participants do not require ‘Zoom’ software to be uploaded on their devices to participate in the workshop.
The practical workshops will be limited to 2 hours and will be held at the Equal Opportunity Commission’s office in the CBD, Adelaide. The number of participants for each course will be restricted to 12 to meet COVID-19 social distancing requirements at these workshops.
External visitors (course participants) will be screened at the Concierge Desk on arrival to our building.
Current hygiene and social distancing requirements will be provided in an email to all participants two working days before the practical workshop and as part of the housekeeping information on the day. Any questions or concerns that may occur during the workshop will be managed by the facilitator at the time.
The Equal Opportunity Commission will provide tea, coffee, milk and individually packaged biscuits.
