South Australian Laws
Equal opportunity means giving everyone a fair go. To help ensure this, we have the following anti-discrimination laws in South Australia:
- Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (SA)
- Public Interest Disclosure Act 2018 SA) - as of 1 July 2019 replaced the Whistleblowers Protection Act, 1993
- Racial Vilification Act 1996 (SA) and the racial victimisation provisions in the Civil Liability Act 1936 (SA)
South Australians are also covered by federal anti-discrimination laws.
